2010 Norwegian Fjord Foals for Sale

The good thing about buying babies is that people can "custom-train" their horse - without the baggage that comes along with horses that someone else has already screwed up! I would SO much rather be the one that made the mistakes - then I will at least know what I did. Sometimes horses come to me so scarred emotionally and physically that unraveling their issues is a life's work. Well-raised babies are ready for you to lay down the foundation you want in your finished horse. A solid foundation provides the basis for everything that horse will do in it's future life, whether you do it yourself or have a trusted and competent professional do it.

DunDarling Glorianna

Glorianna was born June 8, 2010, from Kjor Elianna by RT Gandalf. Her dam, Elianna, is red dun; her sire Gandalf is strongly bred grey.  It will be fun finding out what Glori can produce.

Kjor Elianna was Evaluated at Libby, Montana, and received a Blue conformation score and ribbon, and was the high-scoring mare at the Evaluation.  She is a very correct, fairly large sport-type mare with a kind and unflappable disposition.  Her luxuriant blonde forelock and tail really set off her conformational excellence.

RT Gandalf, in addition to being Grand Champion at halter several times against all breeds, is a kind gentleman and my trail mount.  I have used him to wean foals nearly every year, and he has been much nicer to the babies than their dams were!

Glorianna is very strongly built and stands tall on extremely correct feet and legs. Glorianna will be offered for sale to discerning Fjord fanciers after weaning. Click here to contact Karen via email for more information.

DunDarling Erdahl

Born May 31, 2010, out of Annedahl, by MVF Erlend, Erdahl is a legacy from Susan Cargill. His sire is well-known, highly Evaluated and prepotent, as well as being the sire of our own wonderful RT Gandalf.

His dam, Annedahl, was imported in utero from Norway.  Her dam, Råds Luna was first in quality in her youngstock Evaluations every year, and had the high score for her driving test as a three year old, with scores of 9,9,9,10,9, when she received her third premie. (Add scores) Luna was bred to Smedsmo Gråen before he was imported into the USA.

Annedahl has not been shown in Fjord competition, but has been Grand Champion or Reserve Champion at halter several times in open and in draft horse competition. Judges love her!

Erdahl’s grey color is the icing on his cake, so to speak, but is important genetically as he carries the grey gene strongly, through several generations. Erdahl has a doll head, strongly muscled and well anglulated hindlegs.  He is correct in every way.  With his movement coming from both top and bottom lines, we expect him to be a major mover.

Erdahl is being offered for sale to discerning Fjord fanciers after weaning. Click here to contact Karen via email for more information.
